GONORRHEA

Gonorrhea can infect both men and women. It can cause infections in the genitals, rectum, and throat. It is a very common infection, especially among young people ages 15-24 years.

You can get gonorrhea by having vaginal, anal, or oral sex with someone who has gonorrhea.  Gonorrhea can spread  to an infected person's baby during childbirth

DETECTION:

You will simply need to self collect a vaginal/oral/anal swab or provide a urine sample.  The nurse will send your sample to the State Lab and your results will be ready in 2-4 days.

TREATMENT:

Antibiotic treatment and 7 days of abstinence will cure this infection in most cases.
